When I was in Costa Rica, I got to shoot the beautiful Maya. She is originally an Outer Banks Native. She has lived and studied all over the world and once she found Costa Rica she knew she was home. Not only is she Yoga & Surf teacher, Her and her Husband both started Sundah Surfers in Santa Teresa Beach, CR. Where they teach tourist how to surf and paddle board. It was so inspirational shooting her. The one and only Maya DeGabrielle.
Olivia was the first photographer I ever met up with in the city of Grand Rapids. When I met her she was in High School, and was such an inspiring person and still is. She also happens to be a photographer herself, It is so awesome to see someone so young and so entrepreneurial working the wedding circuit. It brings me great happiness to see Olivia so happy and in love with Jules. She has a heart literally made of gold and she is full of light. Meeting Jules today and getting to laugh and capture their love was something truly so special. Here is the wonderful Olivia and Jules
Kendra and I met at a local bar here in Grand Rapids, which led to us both working together at Anthropologie when I first moved to Grand Rapids. Now a couple years later here I am taking photos of her and Kevin. They are such an amazing kind couple. I love Kendra so much and I was so eager to capture their relationship thru my lens. K&K in the following photos.
Leanna and Jacob have the sweetest home in the suburbs of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Leanna and I met boating on my 27th birthday a couple months back and we just clicked. She is this amazing human, who just has a natural ease about her. I was blown away by her knowledge in nutrition and holistic medicine. When I arrived at her beautiful mid century home, I got to meet Jacob for the first time. Jacob and Her together make an amazing dynamic duo. I was so happy I got to capture their essence among the things they love the most, including their dog and their beautiful home they built together. L&J everybody.

Carla’s Sister Annie contacted me via Instagram to photograph Carla and Alejandro’s engagment photos as a gift on their recent engagement. We decided to shoot them in nature because Carla loves the outdoors and the beach. We settled for Sunset Cliff’s in San Diego. It was a beautiful gloomy day wen i met Carla and Alejandro. They both happen to be two of the sweetest people and their love radiates so strong. I was so happy to get to capture their story thru my lens.
I had the pleasure to travel to North Carolina for work. Stephanie and Micah got married in a beach town called the Outer Banks. They had a beautiful small wedding in their best friend Sam’s back yard. Sam owns a beautiful piece of property where she has a beautiful garden and an airbnb that happens to be a fun Teepee. If you are ever in the OBX, you should definitely check it out. Their wedding was a reflection of their love for each other and all the people who care about them. It was so much fun shooting their day.
Me and Amanda used to work back in the day together in a local restaurant in Grand Rapids. It had been years since i had seen her and i was delighted and honored when she messaged me asking me to shoot her engagement photos and wedding day. Erik and Amanda are such a delight to work with. We decided we wanted to incorporate two of the elements that makes them who they are. So we did a mix of nature and city for their engagement session to capture them who they are as a couple. It was such a treat that as a bonus we got to photograph them with their cute dog Bowie.
It has always been a dream of mine of shooting a couple in a canoe and it finally came true. I was so excited to hear about these couple photo shoot idea. Tim and Kelsey are probably some of the cutest individuals i have met and happen to both have a great scene of fashion. I loved doing this shoot with them and just capturing the essence of who they are as a couple thru my lens.

Taylor is full of life and one of the happiest persons i have had the pleasure of meeting. Xander is just a wonderful husband who loves to make her happy and is great at taking pictures. We shot in downtown Grand Rapids and just had fun playing with different buildings and colors that make Grand Rapids so great.
Lauren is one of the cutest humans you will ever meet, her and her fiancé Nick recently got engaged. I got to capture them in their home where they feel the most comfortable and at ease. At the home they have built together where their dog Walle lives and their records roam. I was so honored to take their photos and to be a part of their wedding next Fall 2019. Here are the photos of this lovely couple.
My friend Amanda and I are both florist based out of Grand Rapids, and we love to be constantly collaborating and being creative. So we decided we wanted to stage a beautiful wedding showcasing what Michigan is all about.
Amanda's mom owns a beautiful property in Ada, Michigan, and she was kind enough to let us use her space to make our creative vision come to life. We spent most of the morning putting the shoot together and creating florals. As Golden Hour approached Amanda strapped on her dress, grabbed her man and the shoot began.
We pared up with a group of very talented vendors to make this shoot possible. Bianka Bridal provided the dress for us, Rise Grand Rapids created this beautiful gluten free cake for the staged wedding and the Jean Queen for Hair and Make up.
I am constantly amazed with everything that Michigan has to offer and i am so happy i get to call it home. I love the fact that today started off with a trip to the farmers market and ended up in a Dahlia Farm. My friend Amanda and I are both florist based out of Grand Rapids. She had been telling me about this flower farm for a while, so we finally decided to go pay it a visit.
When we got to the farm they had rows and rows of all different types of dahlia. We didn't know where to start and as we drove across the field to start picking out our flowers, the rain started to come down hard on us. We were feeling extra spontaneous that day and decided it would be a fun adventure to pick flowers in the rain. We ended up getting completely soaked but we had so much fun filling up our basket with all these beautiful flowers. Once we were done we drove home and decided to reward ourselves with some modelos and some pretty floral arrangements.
Joshua Tree without a doubt is my favorite place in the whole wide world. This place captivated my soul with it's cotton candy sunsets, it's beautiful boulders, and the solitude and peace it brings to one who gets to witness this beautiful National Park. It has been a year since we did this beautiful staged wedding in Joshua Tree, but i am finally getting around to blogging about it.
Me and my friend Stephanie had so much fun coming up with this concept. I wanted this elopement wedding to capture the heart of what Joshua Tree, represents to me. My two talented best friends got hitched for a day to make this beautiful vision come to life. It was a beautiful time spent with my closest friends, where not only did i get to be creative freely by expressing myself thru photography, art direction and floral work. But i also got to spend quality time with the people i loved. We started our shoot pretty late and were sweating for most of the day running around and putting everything together to get the end results of the photos posted below. After our last photos we took a moment to take it all in and after we broke everything down we all ended the day with a good campfire cooked diner and star gazing in what in my opinion, is the most beautiful place i have been to up to date. I am grateful for all the creative people in my life here is a Big Shout to all the people who collaborated in this shoot: Sweet Jewels 1985, The Little Avocado Shop, Stephanie Olejniczak MUA and Rambler Shop. Here is the beautiful magic we created together.
Randi is one of the most genuine and sincere human beings i have ever met. There is something so serene about her prescene that just makes you feel at home. I love working with her not only because she is incredibley beautiful, she is just refreshing and simple as one can be. Here is the beautiful Randi Bowers thru my lens.
I have always been super passionate about vintage, and i got the pleasure to work with one of my favorite Vintage Online Shops here in Grand Rapids. It was amazing working with Amanda Westra and Chelsea. Amanda is an amazing creative human being who belongs to "The Dahlias" Motorcycle club here in Michigan and Chelsea is the owner and founder of Good Soul Vintage a beautifully curated Etsy shop filled with the most beautiful vintage finds i have ever seen.
We all knew we wanted to create something beautiful and unique that represented all of our artistic styles. Our inspiration came from Anne-France Dautheville, the first female to travel the world in her motorcycle. So basically we just wanted to empower women to keep being bad asses and never think they can't do anything because of their sex.
It was beautiful and magical getting to know these ladies, after we were done with our shoot we all ended up in a brewery in Ada, Michigan talking about life, our business, our passions and our art forms. I am excited to have these two empowering women in my life and i can't wait to see what we cook up next.
I got the delightful pleasure of working with Campera Hotel Located in Valle De Guadalupe, Ensenada "Mexico's Napa Valley". My sister, best friend and i headed down to Valle to what would be a work/fun vacation for us. We dined and drank wine all weekend and headed to what would be our location to shoot and where we would be staying. Arriving here was nothing but a dream and the amazing architecture and infrastructure of this magical bubbles is unreal. It is safe to say Campera was magical and the star gazing opportunities are endless.
Britta is probably one of the most beautiful girls i have seen up close and she is crazy talented not only does she model she herself is a very talented photographer. I had been following her for a while on social media and finally got the chance to shoot/meet her. My friend Emilie and I created this concept of dreamy and bare coming together and it was the result of the following images.
While i was down in the Outer Banks, i got to do some fun work with the cute and corky Mom and Pop "Mom's Sweet Shop". Our whole concept was we wanted to create something inspired by the beach culture that exist in The Outer Banks with a Retro Vibe. My talented friend Stephanie did the hair and make up for the following images.
